Announcement about State Safety Policy Statement
Having regard to the Article 7 Part 4 Paragraph 8 of the "Law on Aviation" of the Republic of Armenia and ensuring the fulfillment of terms of Annex l9 to the "Convention on International Civil Aviation" adopted on 07 December 1944 in Chicago, the State Safety Program was adopted by the Government of the Republic of Armenia By Decision No.1460-N dated 10 December 2015.
Conscious of the safe nature of the International Aviation System and giving the importance to the all stakeholders' efforts to maintain this high level of safety, the Republic of Armenia adopts the philosophy and policy of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICA0) and the European Aviation-Safety Agency (EASA) in that director.
Within the Civil Aviation System of the Republic of Armenia the priority is given to the flight safety. Ensurance of flight safety- has the absolute superiority over commercial social and other components of the activity in the aviation field and it shall be continually еnsurеd regardless the traffic increase.
The Republic of Armenia is committed to develop, implement and continually improve the strategies and policy targeted to the ensurance of flight safety level of aviation functions in the Republic of Armenia. Being guided by the "Safety First" principle, the Republic of Armenia adopts the policy of keeping the risks in the Civil Aviation field at the utmost low level.
The Republic of Armenia is committed:
- to incorporate and implement an effective, evidence-based. and pro-active management of aviation safety;
- to ensure for the General Department of Civil Aviation at the Government of the Republic of Armenia to be provided with necessary resources and respectively qualified competent personal. in order to duly perform its obligations as а safety oversight body;
- to ensure the high level the safety, oversee the implementation process of Safety Management Systems in the aviation organizations according
- to the established standards and requirements:
- to ensure the protection of safety-related information, to encourage people providing such an information to enable an exchange of safety-related information between the Aviation Authorities and in the aviation domain:
- to support the aviation safety-related information collation and analysis process in the Republic of Armenia, ensuring the protection of information and applying "Just Culture" principle;
- to ensure the readiness for future developments in aviation domain through preparation and planning of the respective measures.
