On 28 december 2007 according to the edict given by Mr. Robert Kocharyan, President of the Republic of Armenia,
Head of the General Department of Civil Aviation Mr. Artyom Movsesyan was rewarded with a medal after Ananya Shirakatsi for carrying out productive work in the state management system of the Republic of Armenia.
The GDCA personnel congratulates Mr A. Movsesyan wishing him new future achievements in the domain of the state management of our country.
“Airbus A-319” for Representative Purposes
Recently the aircraft fleet of the Civil Aviation has been refreshed with “Airbus A-319” aircraft, which is designed to operate for representative purposes.

The President of the Republic will be the main user of the aircraft. The delegations led by other high officials of the RA also will use the aircraft for the foreign visits as needed.
“Airbus A-319” has been acquired for 45 million USD in one of the western aviation markets.
The equipment of the aircraft complies with the requirements of the representative class and does not need any additional expenses.
The national air carrier “Armavia” Airlines will realize the technical maintenance of the aircraft.
Gyumri “Shirak” Airport passed to Concession Management of “Armenia International Airports” CJSC
On 22 November, Robert Kocharyan, President of the Republic of Armenia, paid a working visit to Gyumri “Shirak” Airport to get acquainted with the work realized by the concessionaire.
The concessionaire had realized the investments, which were foreseen in the agreement, restored and asphalted runway surface of 3.220 meters in length and 45 meters in width, as well as performed local repair of the apron and installed the special technique for the ground services.
“I think this is a great job. We intended to realize this through the state budget. Yet, in result of negotiations with the concessionaire, we reached an agreement and the latter acted correctly and undertook the expenses,” noted R. Kocharyan, and attached importance to the fact that this year the passengers will not appear in the airports of the foreign countries during the foggy whether.
In his interview with the journalists Mr. Artyom Movsesyan, Director General of the General Department of Civil Aviation at the Government of RA, mentioned that a high quality work had been carried out, lights signal system, which complies with the ICAO first class certification requirements, was installed.
Director General of the GDCA informed that, negotiations had been carried out with the International Airlines to consider Gyumri “Shirak” Airport as an alternate version.
